Booklings ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website booklings.xyz. We are committed to protecting the privacy of all our users, especially children. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.
Booklings is designed for young authors and readers. We take the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) seriously. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.

We encourage parents and guardians to be involved in their children's use of Booklings and to help them create their accounts.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your username, email address, display name, and optionally your age. We use your email only for account recovery (password resets) and important account notifications.
Profile Information: You may optionally provide a bio, age, and profile picture (emoji or uploaded photo).
Book Content: When you create and publish books, we store the text, images, and design settings you provide. Published books are publicly visible.
Usage Data: We collect basic usage data such as page views and book view counts. We do not use third-party tracking or analytics tools.
We do NOT collect: Real names (unless voluntarily used as display names), physical addresses, phone numbers, payment information, or precise location data.
We use the information we collect to:
• Provide and maintain the Booklings platform
• Allow you to create, save, and publish books
• Display your author profile and published works
• Enable password recovery via email
• Protect the safety of our community through content moderation
• Improve the platform and fix issues
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not display advertisements.
To maintain a safe environment for all users, especially children, we use automated content filtering to prevent inappropriate language in published books. Administrators may review and moderate content at any time.
Your data is stored on secure servers. Passwords are encrypted using industry-standard hashing (bcrypt). While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
Booklings uses a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookies of any kind.
You have the right to:
• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Update or correct your information through your profile settings
• Delete your account and associated data by contacting us
• Request a copy of your data
Booklings uses Google Fonts to display text. Google may collect anonymous usage data through font loading. We do not use any other third-party services that collect user data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on our website. Continued use of Booklings after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
